John J. Harrington, CFA
John is Executive Vice President and Director of Investments for Rampart Investment Management.

John oversees Rampart’s team of portfolio managers and traders in its investment department and helps lead new business initiatives in the institutional and tax exempt markets. He has more than 20 years of financial industry experience in portfolio management, pension fund consulting and equity product management.

Prior to joining Rampart, John served as senior vice president and U.S. equities product manager for global investment firm Schroder Investment Management in New York, where he managed all business aspects of U.S. equities across billions of dollars in assets. Prior to Schroders, John spent nine years at Wellington Management in Boston, most recently as vice president and co-portfolio manager for the Mid Cap Growth investment approach. He also held positions with Munder Capital Management in Michigan and Rogers, Casey & Associates in Connecticut.

John holds a BA degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA in finance from the University of Connecticut and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1991.
