Dave is responsible for formulating the firm’s strategic goals and objectives and is active in the international rollout of the company’s capabilities for foreign investors.
Prior to joining Rampart, Dave served in a number of management roles with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in Boston from 1975 through 1983. Dave originally worked with the Corporate Financial Services Division as the Northeast Regional Manager. He moved on to the position of Northeast Manager for the Institutional Options Department and also directed and performed Merrill Lynch’s underwriting of Colonial Management’s Corporate Cash Trust, a dividend capture fund utilizing listed options.
Dave is a frequently invited speaker at industry conferences including the annual Risk Management Conference hosted by Chicago Board Options Exchange, as well as the FIA/OIC annual conference. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Visitors at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.
A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Dave earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and served in the U.S. Navy. He completed the Key Executives Programs at Harvard Business School. Additionally, he holds registrations 7 (General Securities Representative) and 24 (General Securities Principal) for Rampart Securities, Inc., a FINRA member limited purpose broker/dealer.
